St Nazaire is not car friendly at all. The hotel restaurant was closed, as were many close by. Apart from numerous and dubious kebab shops trying find a restaurant was not easy. The one opposite was good. Rooms are small. The car park close by is free from 1900 to 0930 which suited us. The suggested car park is some distance away. I felt that the uncomfortable walking in the town it feels somewhat run down. Would not bother to use this place even as a stop over. Hotel is OK, staff friendly and helpful.

I can’t speak highly enough about this budget hotel - yes the room was on the small side, but it had a kettle and tea-making facilities, nice hot shower with good water pressure and very comfortable bed. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, we couldn’t ask for more. Breakfast was good, with local preserves, hot and cold food, and decent coffee. Location opposite the train and bus station. Lots of choice of restaurants nearby

We travelled with a baby, so the staff placed a lovely little cot with linen in our room in advance. The room was very clean and comfortable. Despite being located next to the station, the room was quiet and peaceful. On top of that, a remark for sensitive sleepers: the curtains create almost perfect darkness :)

There were lots of little restaurants & bars very close by. The Vietnamese one on opposite side of the road was very good.
